  1. Visualization
  2. Some people are more "visual learners" than others, but most everybody can benefit from the utilization of applied visualization in their lives. It is important to understand, though, that visualization is NOT the same as daydreaming. Think of visualization as power daydreaming. The results you get from the two activities are drastically different, though their process may be similar. The four keys to visualization are:

    1. Use all your senses- the more senses you bring in to your visualization experiences, the more "real" it becomes for your brain. Remember-the brain seeks to make the "outside" or external reality congruent with the "inside" reality. Make that inside reality one that is vivid.
    2. Be clear- make certain your outcomes are clearly set in your visualization. Do you succeed? By how much? How well do you perform?
    3. Be positive (in your outcomes)-this might seem like a no-brainer, but it is important to make certain that your visualization is always positive with regards to tone and outcome.
    4. Do it often!-as it has been said, repetition is the mother of skill. The more you do something the right way, the better you become at it.

  3. Goal Setting
  4. Most people subscribe to a well-known method for setting goals: Choose a goal, and make a daily to-do list towards attainment of that goal. Don’t do this. Most people fail in their goal setting for that very reason. Why? Life gets in the way! Daily tasks, crises, emergencies, etc. steal our time and leave nothing for achievement of our ambitions. Some ways to improve your goal setting abilities include:

    1. Make certain your goals are in line with your dreams
    2. Make sure that your goals inspire you (the "get-out-of-bed-early" test)
    3. Invoke specific strategy (what you want to do) and planning (how you will do it)
    4. Get your priorities straight, and get them on your schedule. Get them done first, before anything else.
    5. Do these things on a weekly, not daily, basis.

  5. Focus and Concentration
  6. What is the difference between focus and concentration? I define focus in broad, behavioral terms. Focus is the center of our life interests and activities). Concentration is more narrow, and deals with cognition. It is the directed attention of mental activities toward a single point of reference.
So how can this help you? Understand that success requires a broad focus on a goal (outcome) with subsequent narrow attention to it’s attainment as time progresses. Geology, for example, teaches us great lessons about focus and concentration. Geology is merely the study of pressure and time. Given enough time and specific factors (focus), various geological formations are formed. Learn what geologists know: To achieve your goals, you will need to have a goal, and stay flexible in your approaches toward that end. Utilize concentration when specific instances occur in your life that will lead you closer to your goal.

  7. Mental Toughness
  8. Mental toughness is not what you think it is. Mental toughness is simple to define and difficult to execute (or everybody would be tough). Here are the keys:

    1. Resiliency (the ability to bounce back)
    2. Optimism (the ability to see the good in situations and events)
    3. Proactive (the ability to act upon your environment)
Resiliency is important because everybody fails. The higher up you go in life, the more chances you will have had to fail. What is important, however, is how you respond to life’s inevitable obstacles and potholes. Optimism is simply a better choice than pessimism, as it leads to hope rather than despair. There is always a positive lean on a situation if you are willing to look hard and long enough. Finally, being proactive puts you in the driver’s seat to achieving your goals, as you are not at the mercy of your environment. Act or be acted upon.

  9. Perspective
  10. Perspective is the key to mental health. It allows for proper life balance, and allows for simultaneous realism and optimism. To get a better sense of perspective, realize that there are only three things in life that you can truly control: Your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Focus your energy on those three things. Monitor what you allow yourself to think about and focus on. Doing so will allow you to gain true perspective, which is always grounded in reality, but hints of better things to come.

Well this is another one might help me in improving my working performance...

9 Ways To Improve Performance At Work Place

1. Begin your day in office with work that makes you involved and interesting. This helps you to work effectively rather than work for more hours.

2. Take a break when you feel you are over occupied in work. Relax yourself by spending time with your mates.

3. Don’t get tensed and worried for your weaknesses. Focus on your strong areas which give you more confidence to overcome the weaknesses.

4. Try to concentrate only on work while you are in office. Restrain yourself from other thoughts while at work.

5. Compete with yourself. Rate your performance every day before you leave from office.

6. Prioritize and schedule your daily work and try to be effective in organizing yourself.

7. Be balanced and confident in the work you do. Over confidence makes you take a wrong step while lack of confidence prevents you from taking a step.

8. Don’t hesitate to make mistakes. Learn from them and try not to repeat them.

9. Prefer to be an open book rather than being a closed one.Constant learning makes a drastic difference in your life.

Well some of the facts which I had copied in above was not able to read since was a bit busy.Still my mind flows like a child don't know what to take either testing side or on networking side

Article for success through luck

Always thought other people have all the luck? Well, this is because they understand the difference between luck and planning and know how to place themselves in the path of good fortune. And now, you too can bend the path of luck towards you.

Max Gunther has outlined13 techniques for discovering and taking advantage of life's good breaks in his book 'How to Get Lucky', which has recently been republished after its debut in 1986.

Here are his 13 tips to turn your luck around:

1. Never confuse luck with planning:
When a desired outcome is brought about by luck, you must acknowledge that fact. If you confuse luck with planning, you will all but guarantee that your luck, in the long run, will be bad.

2. Find the fast flow:
Go where events flow fastest, surround yourself with a churning mass of people and things will happen. It doesn't matter if you are a quiet person; all you need to do is meet a lot of people and let them know who you are. Then they will direct opportunities your way.

3. Take calculated risks:
There are two ways to be an almost sure loser in life. One is to take risks that are out of proportion to the rewards being sought. The other is to take no risks at all. Lucky people, characteristically, avoid both extremes.

4. Know when to cut and run:
Always assume that a run of luck is going to be short, never try to ride a run to its peak. You will virtually always be right as the law of averages is heavily on your side.

5. Know how to select luck:
Is there some likelihood that the problems with your investment - whether it be time, money or love - will go away? Do you have some realistic hope of fixing them? If so, you should stay aboard. If not, you should get out and look for better luck elsewhere.

6. Take the zig zag path:
Despite what many people think the path to success is rarely a straight line. Lucky men and women, on the whole, are not straight-line strugglers. They not only allow themselves to be distracted, they invite distraction.

A plan should be used as a guide only and if something better comes along the plan should be discarded immediately without regret.

7. Supernatural belief can help:
Not because it makes you more lucky but because it helps you make impossible choices. Sometimes there is no rational choice to make, yet the worst reaction is to do nothing.

A supernatural belief can enable people to get into a potentially winning position simply by helping them make choices.

8. Be a bit pessimistic:
Lucky people, as a breed, tend to be pessimistic. Optimism means expecting the best, but good luck involves knowing how you will handle the worst.

9. Learn to keep your mouth shut:
Talk can tie you up and lock you in positions that seem right today but may be wrong tomorrow. Avoid unnecessary talk about your problems, plans and feelings. When there is no good reason to say something, say nothing.

10. Recognize a non-lesson:
There are experiences in life that seem to be lessons but aren't. Recognize when something was just bad luck and move on.

11. Accept the universe is unfair:
All of us, the good, the bad and the in-between, are all equally likely to realize our fondest dreams or contract cancer.

12. Be willing to be busy:
The more activities you have going the greater the likelihood that something good will happen.

13. Find a destiny partner:
This is someone who is someone who changes your luck over a long term. This person is not necessarily a romantic partner and is usually just found by blind luck but it can help if you are actively looking.
